When dining at Panera you typically know what to expect. Their reputation as healthy fast food is solid and well earned. The service can be iffy, but this location was on point the day I dined here. Quick, attentive and helpful. The food was mostly excellent with my only complaint being the slightly over-baked bear claw. I am one of those people who needs his pasty on the lighter side of brown and this was just a bit too dark. Green tea, and 1/2 a Turkey Bacon Bravo with a 1/2 salad completed the meal (too much food honestly) and the flavors and freshness were on par with most every visit I've made to a Panera.

I love Panera Bread for wholesome fast food. They were a little slow and it seemed a little disorganized with preparing the food and calling people's names. Thank you for tasty and healthy alternatives to the usual fast food chains. I just wish you had your strawberry salad all year round.

Always a great place for lunch. I love sitting next to the fire place on a cold day while I enjoy my lunch.

Of The dozen or so times I've ordered from Panera since they started online ordering, they've forgotten something from the order every time but once. It's almost impressive how bad they are at takeout orders. The food itself is ok, which is how they're dodging one star.

Came in at 8:30p on a Monday and the place was quiet. I asked the folks the different between bbq chicken salad and thai chicken salad. Stacy was able to tell me what goes into each dish which was really helpful. With a wait of about 3 mins, I got my Thai Salad. The dish was really flavorful, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The place looked clean and the folks there were either couples, folks on their laptops, or group of friends. It wasn't too loud, and there weren't kids running around. I was able to enjoy dinner in peace.

I used to highly recommend panera bread. However, Panera is now where moms meet up for girl time after yoga and leave their screaming children running around like its a Gymboree. Grab your children and supervise them instead of buying them sugary drinks and pastries and letting them devour food at another table away from you. It's no one - not a single solitary persons responsibility to watch your kids so you can gossip with your girlfriends. There is hot soup, coffee, and people everywhere - no place for unsupervised children. The last time I was here there were kids climbing the beverage bar like it was some kind of monkey bar at school and their mothers were on the other side of the restaurant all in matching yoga outfits acting like they didnt hear their kids screens resonating throughout the entire restaurant. I would never ever recommend panera bread in 2014. Not because food and drinks aren't good, but because of the clientele.

So I've fallen off the Yelp bandwagon lately, but after waiting 15 minutes for a bagel and a coffee, I remembered why I started Yelping in the first place. That's right. I'm back. For the past two Sunday mornings in a row, I've swung thru the Panera on Academy for a cup of coffee and a breakfast pastry. Last week, I was dismayed to place my order, and then wait a ridiculously long time to have someone put my bagel in a bag. Now-- if one person had been working the entire restaurant solo, hastily replacing coffee decanters and removing toasty bagels from the oven while simultaneously taking orders and blending coffees, I would have cut them some slack. But here's what happened: one person was doing the bagels, blending the coffees, running the register and doing whatever else it is that a Panera employee does, while 4 other rando Panera dudes stood around in the back and chatted and prepped a few lunch items. "Hi, dudes. Maybe you could help a co-worker? And acknowledge there's a line 12 people long?" I figured this might have been a one-off bad experience, but this past Sunday, I found myself witnessing the same scene. And I literally waited nearly 15 minutes for a bagel. I'm done. Adios, Panera on Academy.

I'm ons job here in C-Springs and though I would rather be in Denver playing with my beautiful kids. A man has got to eat. On that topic, these agency people got us pizza for lunch yesterday and I about quit, today we get Panera bread co, I haven't even picked up lunch yet and it is already 100% better than yesterday's lunch, Thank you chains for getting a little better (healthy)

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Panera used to be a little better than it is now. Every meal I get is just disappointing, with much of my regret being attributed to the price. I do not want to spend $10 on a tiny sandwich with a cup of soup! They charge more than the local equivalents and the quality is fleeting.

Ambiance: Chain place. There are two separate counters, one for breads, pastries and bagels, the other for sandwiches, salads and soups. Plenty of seating, with a few tables outdoors. There is a self-serve microwave if you want to heat up your food. Service: Just ok (average). I think they could step their service up a notch. The counter help always seems to be carrying on conversations with co-workers when you place your order. Not overly friendly (sorta just matter-of-fact). They are prompt and efficient though. Food: Pretty decent selection of breads (a marked improvement over the fresh breads you find in a retail grocery store.) Bagels are just ok. Pastries are good, though they can't compete with the individually-owned bakeries in town. Good sandwich selection on good bread. Overall, it's an ok spot for a quick pastry or bagel, and an ok spot to purchase a fresh loaf of bread to take home. Nothing about this place "Wows me", but it is also hard to slam this place either.

Tried something new here the other day and didn't care for it. They were kind enough to replace it with a dish that I knew I liked. Would be 5 stars if it weren't so expensive.

I remember when Panera's Asiago Cheese bagals had asiago cheese on them.

This is the oldest Panera Bread location in Colorado Springs. Because of that, it's not quite as nice as the other locations that are newer. The traffic flow is good at this location though (some of the other locations have *horrible* traffic flow). This is my wife's and my favorite Panera Bread. Come on in and get some of the excellent Hazelnut Coffee and some Cinnamon Crunch Bagels, sliced and toasted. Mmmm...
